Mona Foundation, Educating Children & Empowering Women — Employee's Choice Donation

Just as important as Brio's charitable mission are the causes and charities that are near and dear to our employees. To honor our employees, in part with our Be Kind program, a portion of all Briotech's sales are donated to charities of their choosing.

This quarter's employee choice donation is Mona Foundation; a global community of individuals and organizations who believe that they key to alleviating poverty and achieving sustained community transformation lies in education and gender equality. This donation goes towards education access, scholarships, empowering girls, and training teachers. 

"We support grassroots initiatives around the world that educate all children, empower women and girls, and emphasize service to the community. These include schools in economically disadvantaged areas which focus on quality of learning and teaching, fine arts and character development to train capable, ethical, and altruistic leaders who contribute to the betterment of their families, communities, and ultimately their nation. Our focus areas:

Universal Education: When academics & the arts combine with character development & service, education raises up capable, ethical, and altruistic young people eager to help better their families and communities.

Gender Equality: Investing in women is one of the most effective ways to reduce poverty. Gender equality and economic development are inextricably linked.

Community Building: All people have the right and the responsibility to contribute to the betterment of their communities and are best able to assess community needs, respect cultural values, and take action for sustained change."
