Briotech is a leading manufacturer of proven pure HOCl (Hypochlorous Acid). With over a decade of scientific research, Briotech has garnered several scientific breakthroughs in the production of HOCl and is unmatched in purity, stability and efficacy.
Briotech's Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) is proven pure and has been tested by the National Institutes of Health. Briotech is a high capacity, global leader in HOCl manufacturing with distribution in Europe, Canada, South America, and the Middle East.
Briotech is a purpose driven company with an edict to positively impact health, healing, and disinfection on a global level. In a mission as pure as our HOCl, we are energized by our commitment to make a difference in the world. We support our charitable mission through our Humanitarian Division, BrioEarth®, by donating product toward global disaster relief and charities in need. A portion of sales are also donated quarterly to charities near and dear to our employees.

Hypochlorous Acid
HOCl, also known as Hypochlorous Acid, describes the elements Hydrogen, Oxygen, and Chlorine. HOCl is produced by white blood cells through a process called phagocytosis as one of the key components of your internal defense system, working to fight infection and bacteria, and enhance the healing process. When produced outside of the body, HOCl offers these same benefits.
No — while Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl), chlorine, and bleach all live on the same spectrum, they are entirely different molecules. HOCl, chlorine, and bleach have atoms in common, but they are arranged differently and that makes a huge difference in what they can do and how they react. HOCl is more than 100x stronger than bleach, yet it is safe enough for skin contact, non-toxic, not caustic, and does not damage skin cells.
Unlike chlorine or bleach, Hypochlorous Acid is completely natural and produced inside the white blood cells of all human and animals as the active component to their internal healing and disinfection.
The use of Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) has been around for over 100 years and was even used in WWI for wounds, but the reason it has not been successfully adopted is due to its instability; other HOCl products and/or processes are known to degrade rather quickly or convert to bleach. Briotech set out to change this and dedicated years into solving the stability issues that surrounded HOCl.
Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) is an antimicrobial biocide that works on-contact to inactivate pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, spores, and fungi.
From what we've learned in a decade of scientific research, is that true efficacy of the product not only depends on the concentration, but more so on purity of the product, its stability, and it's electrical potential.
No — other manufacturers use hypochlorite (bleach), buffers, or additives in their production processes, which can result in an impure HOCl product containing bleach or other contaminates. BrioHOCl® is the only proven pure HOCl on the market; tested by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to be as pure as the HOCl produced inside the human body.
Our production involves only purified water, pharmaceutical-grade salt, and electricity. Gentle, vegan, and free of free of alcohol, oil, fragrance, dye, and other harsh chemicals. Our formulations have been tested and proven pure.
We do not recommend these machines as they rarely consistently produce HOCl but instead a mix oxidant which will sometimes be chlorine or bleach, or usually a mixture of all three. Those products are cytotoxins and not as safe or effective as pure and stable HOCl. They are also known to quickly lose efficacy.
