Just as important as Brio's charitable mission are the causes and charities that are near and dear to our employees. To honor our employees, in part with our Be Kind program, a portion of all Briotech's sales are donated to charities of their choosing.

This quarter's employee choice is the Rainbow Center; through education, advocacy, and celebration, Rainbow Center expands resources and safe space for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, two-spirit, and allied (LGBTQ2SA) community in South Puget Sound.

"Educate

Rainbow Center offers educational workshops and cultural competency trainings to the South Sound region and to the greater state of Washington. All trainings are facilitated in a safe, affirming, and inclusive atmosphere for participants to ask questions and engage in discussion openly and respectfully. Trainings are available virtually or in-person, and individually adapted for the needs of the client.

Advocate
Rainbow Center advocates for policy and legislation meant to materially improve the wellbeing of every LGBTQ2S* individual. We work to ensure that all LGBTQ2S persons receive the same human rights as all other persons in Pierce County, Washington State, and the United States. We envision a world where every LGBTQ2S individual can thrive as their full self, affirmed and celebrated.

Celebrate
Rainbow Center hosts celebratory activities throughout the year, including our 3rd Thursday Community Events, Tacoma Pride Month, Black & White Gayla and many other programs."
